Sunday Lunch

Our Sundays are a great day. Informal, relaxing, but with that "buzz" that makes a place special.
Served from 12 till 4. o'clock means you can eat at a time to suit your lifestyle. Whilst bookings are advisable for the Restaurant,  you can turn up on spec, although as the time moves towards 4 o' clock we have been known to run out of food.
We offer a good choice of vegetables with the lunch  and you can have as much as you like. Our roasties are cooked in Goose fat to give that extra special taste.
  A one course Sunday Lunch is served in the Bistro area @ £8.95
or if you prefer to eat in the Restaurant 2 courses are £12.95.
Bookings are taken for the Restaurant at a time to suit yourself.
For the Bistro we can take bookings for 12 o' clock - 12.15 only,
after that you may just turn up, and in general you will be served.

The Monks Soup of the Day 

A Salad of Greek Feta, Olives, Red onion & Tomato

North Atlantic Prawns nestled in Marie sauce sat on a bed of mixed leaves & Pink grapfruit.   

Fan of fresh seasonal melon dressed with a Raspberry coulis and fresh fruit Sorbet     

 

Mains

Sirloin of Beef , cooked to your liking, with Horseradish sauce

Roast Loin of Pork with apple sauce & a Parsley & Thyme stuffing

Roast leg of English Lamb with mint sauce

Lightly spiced fillet of Salmon with rocket salad & balsamic dressing

Roasted Vegetable Lasagna with tomato & rocket salad

 

Sweets

Traditional Bread & Butter pudding with a creamy Vanilla custard

Treacle tart with Clotted Cream

Cranberry & Tangerine Crème Brulee

Fresh cream Meringue with Seasonal fruit & Raspberry coulis

Vanilla Rice pudding with homemade Strawberry Jam
